Full text search

You should use the full text search to get an initial overview of what may be available. It is used to search all the fields in the archives catalogue for a term. The list of results shows all units of description (for example dossiers or individual documents) that include your search term in a field (title, content and so on).

The full text search has two viewing options: as standard, a single search field is shown. However, you can integrate additional search options in order to make a full text search more precise.

01 Simple full text search

  • Select «Full text search» on the «Search» menu in the archives catalogue.
  • Enter one or more terms in the «With all words» search field.
  • Click on «Search».

02 Extended full text search

  • Select «Full text search» on the «Search» menu in the archives catalogue.
  • Click on the link «Display further search options» under the search field.
  • Enter one or more terms in the search field.
  • Restrict your search by using the search options.
  • Click on «Search».
